We were up more for a lunch than for a brunch, and Verso ticked all the boxes. A laid back atmosphere with Italian songs, inside and outside seating available, and the price also includes pool access as far as I know. We were greeted warmly and were introduced to the different stations and the available food.
There was a seafood station with oysters and home-cured salmon (delicious!), a salad station with the usual suspects as well as grilled and marinated vegetables such as artichokes and eggplants, as well as sardines and vitello tonnato, a cheese station and desserts. There were a few ready hot dishes, such as different meats, mashed potatoes, polenta, beans... Pizza and Pasta were served on demand (we had Margarita, Roasted Veggies and a Pasta with a cheese sauce for our daughter), grilled ribs, Osso Buco and Risotto being brought to the table. The food was really, really good. We particularly enjoyed the meats which were juicy and cooked to perfection, the different items from the salad bar, the pizza was awesome with a very thin dough base...the desserts were really good and even the picky husband said the chocolate mousse was the best he has ever eaten outside of Switzerland. The canelloni and the ice cream was divine. The staff was very friendly and attentive - the whole atmosphere was very personal.
It's a brunch that has less of a party ambience but does oh-so-well for a relaxing Saturday lunch. We will definitely come back, especially when it's a little bit warmer and we can have our daughter in the pool.
