Took the visiting family here for what we hoped would be a relaxed and filling afternoon and we were not disappointed. Sit down brunch with knowledgeable and accommodating staff; I'm a veggie and the chef made some wonderful changes to the fixed menu for me.
The shrimp and corn chowder was delightful and the 'best soup' my auntie had ever eaten.
We stuffed our faces silly with fresh focaccia, olive tapendade, pizza, beetroot salad, beef carpaccio, honey roasted sweet potato and goats cheese, beef rib, sea bream, vegetable pasta and an array of desserts: red velvet, panna cotta, cheesecake, ice cream and semifreddo.
'What's a semi freddo'? I hear you ask...it's 'half a freddo' according to my dad. #brunchlogic
We then wandered round the corner for a sundowner at barfly overlooking the water. Perfection. Highly recommended. The menu changes often which is a great thing in my opinion as it gives us a reason to go back! Yaysies!
Drinks were white, red or beer. There are also some yummy mocktails on offer including the fab pomegranate iced tea in this pic. Look out for the sparkling water magnums they have too...watching the waitress pour from a fresh bottle was very entertaining
