My friend and I wanted to dine somewhere we've never been and thought of using the Traveller app to find one. We ended up choosing a seafood place and found The Shack at Guardian Towers in Muroor. Looking for a parking spot around on a Thursday in this area was a breeze.
It was a windy night, so we rushed to the restaurant and was greeted, seated & handed welcome drinks by the staff. Place is cozy and rustic, very casual and they also have seats on the second floor. No views but the decor makes up for it. Most of their customers went upstairs but we chose to sit by the stairs at one of the bar-type tables and stools.
We ordered clam chowder, lobster penne, and lobster roll, (yes, we binged on lobster that night), soda and passion fruit mocktail. Please excuse the poor soup photo as this was the first on our table, other than our drinks, and we were really hungry. So happy we got served with something warm and very hearty! Not too salty (I have low tolerance for saltiness) and was very tasty. Our lobsters were served next, portions can be shared if you're not feeling greedy, that is! 😜 The lobster roll could've had more dressing as it was a tad dry but taste was there, was just waiting for that mmmmm-yum factor like that of San Francisco's at the Fisherman's Wharf but was somehow lacking. The lobster penne though was quite delicious and they are not stingy on lobster meat, I tell you! Most of the time, I got layers of penne and big lobster chunks.
Overall, we went home with a full tummy and a smile on our face. Yes, I would go back to this place and try out something else on their menu, maybe get desserts, too, if I have space!
