The Kettle Corner

Shwetha Srinivas

After a nice walk at Reem Central park, we decided to have snacks at the Boutique mall. This was the first restaurant we saw as soon as we entered and decided to try it. Their menu is quite different from the normal Indian cuisine restaurants. There is no usual roti, sabzi or pulav, Biryani. Instead, they have focused mainly on chat items and sandwiches. Hungry bunch of us tried to order most of the vegetarian items of the menu. We ordered vegetable samosa, Punjabi samosa, pav bhaji, vada pav, French fries, chatpata cheese toast. Some of the items were so good that we repeated then again. All the items were diminished by 4 of us within minutes. Finally we ended our snacks with masala and saffron chai which was served in matka style. Perfect end to our day. Service is good. Very reasonable. 150 dhs for 4 persons. And I guess, we have to skip dinner as we are so full. Only reason I'm taking away a star is they didn't have few of the items which we really wanted to try. Some of them are served only in morning, though not mentioned about the timings in menu. Will definitely be visiting them in morning to try out their breakfast menu.
