Park Hyatt, Saadiyat Island.
With the fog clearing just in time for brunch, my husband and I were happily seated outside on the terrace at The Café. I did a tour of the inside buffets and the outside live cooking stations before making my game plan! Wow! There was a generous amount of fresh seafood to choose from. Giant lobster claws, tender squid, fresh scallops and briny oysters, along with a selection of maki and cold salads. The hot buffet showstopper was the whole roasted salmon, which my husband said was so juicy and full of flavor. Also inside were freshly rolled rice paper rolls with crispy duck, shrimp or beef, cuts of roasted meats with Yorkshires and gravy, an array of bread and cheese and an impressive dessert table including a selection of gelatos.
The service was absolutely top notch. It was really nice to see everyone including the chefs and managers interacting with the guests ensuring everyone was having a good time. The DJ played great songs and there was definitely a nice buzz.
The gems of this brunch are the live cooking stations set up on the grass. The made-to-order dosas were amazing. The sauces were full of flavor and packed a spicy punch. The pho was SO GOOD! I was told they went through 8 gallons of beef broth the week before! Meats and seafood for grilling were cooked to your liking and came with the most delicious accompanying sauces. You were able to place your order using your table number and they delivered a beautifully plated dish to your table. Hot cinnamon sugar doughnuts were a must to end the meal. I added a scoop of pistachio gelato to mine and may have gone back for seconds! 🙈 Heavenly! Beach access is included and pool access is dependent on the occupancy of the hotel at the time. I will definitely be returning soon!
