Zayed Cricket Stadium -bedside the netball courts
For the thousands of you who are part of the ZCS community, Sas al Nakhl and KCA, I’m about to make your day. The Boundary cafe (and soon to be bar!) is open!
It’s very funky and beautifully designed to cater for groups, singles - you name it, there’s a comfy chair for you. But most importantly, the food is simply very good.
They do an all-day breakfast with lots of healthy options. There are all the usual suspects - Eggs Florentine AED32 and egg white omelette with veges for the more virtuous (AED42) but we absolutely loved the roasted root veges with avo and eggs (AED45) and the almond and corn crusted French toast with berries and mascarpone. This was absolutely divine and even with a long list of things to try, we cleaned the plate!
Aside from breakfast items, there are loads of lunch-y/dinner-y things to enjoy. The salads were good and the pumpkin and feta (AED46) option was excellent. We hoovered up the calamari (AED38) which was easily enough for sharing And the yummy fish and chips with big thick cut chips.
What did we love the most - fittingly, it was a toss-up. We loved the felafel bites (AED35), home-made felafel in a tortilla wrap with juicy fresh veges - absolutely the best we’ve ever tried. The steak sandwich was superb but it was the burger that probably stole out hearts. None of these squashed up specimens, this was big, juicy and bursting with taste. We got ours with brie (AED67) which was melted beautifulness. You’ve got to try!
If you don’t want a full meal, there are pastries, smoothies, very decent coffees, detox drinks and local water - literally something for everyone.
No more sitting in the car during netball or football, or running off somewhere for a post workout chat, The Boundary is your new place for a bit of time out and your new local for casual breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Can’t wait to see your reviews!
