My very first review! SushiSan Friday Brunch, at the Holiday Inn on Airport Road.

Honestly can't fault this brunch at all - was completely blown away! From start to finish, everything was perfect. When we sat down we were looking at the menu on the placemat and both of us said that we wanted to try everything. Then our waitress came over and explained the concept to us which is really cool - they serve you everything on the menu in order, and if you particularly like something you can order it again as many times as you want. So we got our drinks poured, and then the food started coming!
To start there was mixed ceviche (tender and citrusy, with cucumber and chilli), calamari salad (not many pieces of calamari, but i usually am not one for salads and the sesame dressing they had on the spinach was delish!) and salted edamame. Then miso soup (not my favourite, but I've never been a lover of it anyways), a bowl of sashimi (tuna, salmon, octopus and a white fish i wasn't certain of, that got inhaled anyways!), and a tray of mixed rolls, all with a small plate of wasabi and ginger. The sushi rolls were delicious - a pizza roll (that was a bit bizarre as it literally tasted like pizza which was a peculiar mix with sushi, but still tasty), a vegan roll, a piece of nigiri (salmon first time, tuna the second), and our personal faves - california roll perfectly executed, and a volcano roll that was basically dynamite shrimp wrapped in rice!! Sooooo good. And then.. the 'mains' came! Spring roll with dipping sauce, juicy shrimp dumplings, and then a plate of seared tuna steak was by far our favourite - cooked to perfection, amazing texture and so flavourful. And don't get me started on the dynamite shrimp - crispy, saucy, deliciousness. There was also a chicken dish over rice that, while very tasty, was probably my least favourite purely because it had such stiff competition. Finished off with a creamy tiramisu (i don't even like coffee and ate it all!) and a bowl of green tea ice cream (that wasn't what i expected it to be, i loved it!). Delicious sake cocktails served throughout as well.
Service the entire time was impeccable - the waiters and waitresses were there whenever we needed them, but not overbearing, and the hostes/manager made sure we were having a good time. All very friendly and helpful, and even gave us a free welcome drink at the rooftop bar for afterwards! At 199dhs, plus it being on the entertainer, it's an absolute steal.
Ambiance is nice, it's very chilled out, so not where you'd go for a rowdy brunch, but they can seat both large and intimate groups, and a couple of the tables had children.
Start to finish it was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!
(Sorry I've rambled on so much but it is my first time, I'll get more concise i promise!)
