Sofra Brunch - Shanghai La Hotel, by Mafraq Bridge Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for Money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Music ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
On Friday We went to this hotel for Brunch with another couple. My husband purchased the deal on Groupon. Package, with Sauvignon Blanc (Chilean), beer, and a choice of delicious cocktails, including gin & tonics worked out to AED290 (including taxes) for each person. We were very pleasantly surprised with the whole afternoon. It was PACKED with people and there was a lovely buzz about the place.
The Cuban band were superb and music not too loud. No dancing, but there were a few odd tables really getting into the party atmosphere. Although there was not a HUGE selection of seafood, the enormous cold poached salmon was cooked to perfection. The hot and cold food was plentiful and a huge variety, and even a “make your own pizza” in the stone oven. As usual, desserts looked sublime, but even though I took photos of the dessert, I only tried the sorbets as I am not a huge lover of dessert.
We constantly had our wine replenished, and it was nice to go up and refill our cocktails and there wasn’t a queue. Service was excellent. We were the last people to leave and they didn’t seem in a hurry to get rid of us, even warning us that the bar was about to close and would we like some last drinks.
Dress was smart/casual. But no jeans/t shirts/shorts. (Well we didn’t see any!)
