If you wake up one morning and fancy a dainty little breakfast, head on over to Shakespeare and company. My meat-loving husband ordered the English breakfast, while I decided to be adventurous and ordered the Lebanese breakfast. He was happy with the texture of the scrambled eggs (He can be hard to please when it comes to scrambled eggs 😂) and the bacon was crispy and yet chewy. I quite liked the cheese saj, labneh, grilled halloumi and halawa. It's not something I would enjoy on a regular basis, but it was a good dish to explore. You can ask for more toast if you please and I suspect I went overboard with the apricot preserve. 😅 We tried and enjoyed a slice of strawberry cheesecake and an almond croissant as well. Being a die hard fan of filter coffee, I was actually swayed to accept that their cappuccino was delicious!
I loved the ambience. It made for a quiet, relaxed breakfast. I must specially mention that the staff were friendly and courteous. It's such a pleasure to be treated well while you're enjoying some good food. It completes the experience!
They take the entertainer so that's an incentive. 😊
