⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing opportunity to visit Roberto's and enjoy the tasting menu they have setup for the Abu Dhabi Food Festival. Three chefs (two who have Michelin stars), 6 dishes + dessert, 3 wine pairings - absolutely delicious!
The tasting menu leans more towards fish dishes, however we had one person with us who did not like fish and they were very accommodating.
The meal started with potato salad that had been formed to look like a potato (pictured) followed by an amazing rare mushroom from a special part of Italy, served tempura-style, This was absolutely amazing!
The two seafood courses were a fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine with gorgeous plating (pictured). One highlight for me was the lamb dish, which was cooked perfectly, and paired with an amazing wine which is now my new favorite (Brunello di Montalcino). This wine was served in a lovely decanter but unfortunately none of my pictures came out.
The service was incredible, attentive wait staff and the chefs came out to speak to us which was a unique thrill. The atmosphere is the usual Roberto's beautiful only made better because it is now decorated for Christmas. If you are looking to celebrate the Food Festival or just want an extraordinary night of food and wine, I cannot recommend Roberto's highly enough.
