Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.
Way way up Jumeirah At Etihad Towers Cuisine: steak but loads of nice alternatives From the menu: smoked salmon paté 50aed, meat board for 2, 385aed, Kettyle striploin 180aed.
It's not often you find a place where the views and the food are as glorious as each other but Ray's Grill gives you both. The minute you sit down, you're suffused with a feeling of peace and calm, being so far above the madding crowd below. The delightfully moreish bread is served and you're already very much enjoying life! The menu is varied and has something for everyone. To start, my companion opted for seafood gumbo which was rich and smooth and smoky and I would've had a touch of starter envy but for the fact that my brisket was out of this world. My steak main was beautifully seasoned and the sides were outstanding, especially the mashed potato - droool! But I definitely had food envy: the Beef Wellington was beautiful: light pastry, succulent meat, an altogether great dish. We finished with a glorious cheesecake and the most interesting aid to digestion ever - you need to try the charcoal! Ray's is a bit of an unsung hero on the AD food scene. It's not outrageously expensive and the service and ambiance are really fabulous. Highly recommend!
