Ah yes, 21 again (plus a few). Mr Loo took me out to Punjab Grill.
We started with poppadoms and pickles (gluten free ones for me). Mr Loo took on the spicier pickles but I stuck to the yoghurt, mint and mango chutney.
Then followed an amuse-bouche. I didn't quite get the description but it was a form of pea samosa. Very nice and I'm not a pea fan
Then came… fanfare please... the watermelon slider 👏 Tiny bit more spicy than usual but just as delicious.
Next up, chicken and onion bhajis. These were really good and I said they should be a permanent fixture on the menu
Then beetroot kebabs. The chef made a gluten free version for me (the paler one). Even though I only had one, it was quite filling.
A quick palette cleanser then on to the main course. Chicken Lababdar for me (what else?) and butter chicken. Both wonderful.
Defeated we asked for the check. They come over with a meringue covered cake with a passion fruit jelly layer on the base (like the Watermelon slider) and sang happy birthday
We took away what we couldn't manage, so hubby and teen will be content tonight
As always a fabulous night out 👏👏👏👏
