Just dropping in a few lines to say that Parivar restaurant on Hamdan Street is a really lovely and budget friendly South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Nepali) spot in the city. I have been here a few times now and have always enjoyed the food and service. At lunch today, we had the fried chicken momos, chicken boti with curd, prawn biryani, Chicken Ra Ra Punjabi, and the chicken kadhai. All dishes were quite authentic and cooked well. The Murgh Punjabi was an all round favourite as the semi spicy gravy is packed with punch and flavour! The momos as well were delicious although personally I prefer steamed momos to fried.
The drinks were all quite good too (Desi lemonade, pomegranate lychee soda, lassi and karak tea). We finished our meal with the chocolate momos served with ice cream. The kids in the group loved it. The service was fast, friendly and on point as usual. I recommend this place if you are in the mood for a good value meal. The ambience is simple with some interesting artwork on the walls and the place is clean and nice. They also seem to be quite popular with delivery via Zomato as a few zomato drivers stopped by to collect orders in the time that we were there. Oh and they also serve breakfast! Do stop by and give them a try
