St. Regis Saadiyat Island.

We decided to try somewhere new on Saadiyat Island for Brunch so went for the St Regis. We arrived a tad early - this one starts at 1pm but the manager was really charming and showed us to our table. We wanted to enjoy the weather so sat outside and was a little worried when we noticed we were near the live band. We shouldn't have been worried though as they were not too loud and the music was really good. The weather was ideal, and although a little breezy it didn't affect our enjoyment of the event and the stunning views out to sea. The food stations were spread out a little too much for our liking but there was a wide selection of well presented and delicious fare. The sushi bar was not self service and there could be large queues if you were there at the wrong time. There was a wide selection of delicious cheeses, but these were under the stairs with the oyster bar which did seem unusual. Of particular note were the many cocktail stations serving some lovely drinks and the mixologists were all very enthusiastic and helpful! All the staff were exceptionally attentive and the drinks were of a high quality. We completed celebrating the New Year with a few sundowners at Turquioz - fabulous restaurant placed on the beach - again with more live music. This is probably one of the nicest brunches for overall ambience - I would definitely come here again.
