In a Mezze Mood at Morbido
Not sure if it was having had no breakfast or the strenuous mani/pedi that made us order a feast for lunch yesterday, but one thing is for sure; we didn't regret any of it. We ordered the hummous with meat, moutabal, fattoush, grilled halloumi and shrimp in oil and all of it was delicious and fresh. The basket of Arabic bread was complementary and it wasn't the crumbly leaf thin type bread you get some placed, but plump, warm and soft. The fattoush was as crunchy and crispy as they come with a nice vinaigrette and the spicy shrimps had just the right amount of heat.
For obvious reasons we didn't have any mains, but there were quite a few pizzas on the menu as well as pasta dishes and risotto in addition to grilled meat. There's also a breakfast menu that includes traditional options and omelettes, but also waffle and pancakes.
Prices were average for this type of restaurant as far as I could tell and service was prompt.
