Khalifa City A.
We decided to try the Al Khayal iftar this evening to celebrate my son's 18th birthday so the six of us made a booking and went along with high expectations as we have dined frequently at Al Khayal and always been impressed, and we were not let down this time. What I will say though is if you are looking for an authentic and atmospheric traditional Iftar then you may wish to give this a miss as I would class it as an international Buffet with a heavier influence on Arabic dishes than usual. Even the background music playing wasnt arabic. They had all the usual stations including sushi,Indian,Italian,Asian,Arabic and desserts. The quality if the food was very high and the additional Arabic fare was very good and plentiful. The other thing to note is the price does not include soft drinks but only water and the 4 juices out on the stations any other soft drinks will be charged. Also I found the dessert choice lacking compared to there usual Buffet. The only other gripe I had was the restaurant was half full but we had to ask for our plates to be cleared on a few occasions as it got to the stage where we couldn't go for new food as there was no space on the table as the previous dishes hadn't been collected. All being said I would definitely recommend it if you want a great quality international Buffett and it is also in the entertainer aswell. FOOD ***** service **** ambience ***
