First craving of the year led us to discovering a hidden gem. Tucked inside the Al Ghazal golf club in Masdar is Madang Korean restaurant.
From the side dishes (banchan) to the bbq we ordered - all was an elevated Korean dining experience. We opted for a set menu composed of different cuts of beef. The meat was fresh and juicy. The garlic chicken had the right combination of tang and crispiness. The kimchi is so superb that we bought some for take away.
The soup can be modified to the preferred level of spiciness. The staff are attentive. Ambience is relaxing in spite of the tolerable clattering from the other tables.
We concluded the dinner with an obligatory dessert. The Madang Bingsu is a must try gastronomic experience. Finely shaved ice that’s seemed to be programmed to instantly melt once it hits the mouth.
All in all, Madang gave us that “ratatouille food critic experience” of being transported to a different place and time through a meal.
