So I'm getting out a lot these days 😄
Last night we went to LoL- it was pretty quiet and the service was quick, friendly and attentive. I had the fish and chips which was soft inside and crispy on the outside. It was fine for me but if you're starving the portion would be way too small. Hubby had the burger which he said was "ok" ... And pricey at AED 80! Our friend had the sliders which he also said was just ok.
We also had a pizza which was cooked in a proper pizza oven so that was good but comparative to the regular franchises.
Tea drinkers would probably love the variety and the presentation of the tea tray is unusually lovely. The masala chai rooibos was quite good. I'm a coffee person myself but when I saw my husband's tiny drink, I decided to give it a miss. I'm more partial to having my coffees in cup resembling a vase rather than a thimble 🙈
The red velvet cake looked moist and yummy but we opted to share the red velvet cupcake instead. At the touch of my fork it crumbled disappointingly in a dry mess. The frosting had more hints of margarine than it did of cream cheese 😷 the manager was kind enough to take it off the bill.
All in all, not a memorable meal- if I'm in the area, I might give the carrot cake or the medjool date cake a try as those looked good
