Mercure Hotel, Hamdan Street.
As our daughter is enjoying her holidays in Mauritius 🌴, hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to a night out in the city.
We chose Le beaujolais as it's been a while we haven't eaten there. We ordered the seabream fillet 'à la provençale', beef cheeks with fries for mains. Hubby said the beef cheeks were similar to the one his mom used to make back in France. Food was delicious as usual. We shared a 'tarte tatin' for dessert. The pie was yummmmm.
We've been visiting this quaint little restaurant for 9 years, let me tell you it hasn't changed one bit. Perfect combination of traditional and rustic french food. Chef Philippe is always around for a chat and a special thanks to Buddy the ever so charming staff.
Total bill with 2 Ricards, 1 beer, 4 glasses of wine and 1 green tea; AED485 inc tax. Not bad at all. Will defo go back again.
