Food ✨✨✨✨ Service ✨✨✨✨✨
I haven't been in Tryano before, mostly because it looks from the outside like the kind of store I can't afford to buy anything in 😅, but after Rachael's cake pic the other day I decided I was probably the last one in Abu Dhabi to try this very hidden gem 😅. So after a 20 minute battle trying to unsuccessfully steer my mini fashionistas past Dior and Stella McCartney, we reach the pink palace that is La Pâtisserie des Rêves. Is it really the stuff that dreams are made of?
I chose a halloumi, fig, strawberry and pomegranate salad, topped with toasted pistachios and pomegranate seeds. It was fresh, and bursting with colour and flavour - a fabulous post-Christmas pick me up. There was too much dressing, and sadly the figs were dried and not the juicy fresh ones I had anticipated, and the texture didn't work in my opinion, but the flavour combo was absolutely mouth-watering. My daughter's burger was tasty but rather uninspired appearance.
The star of the show though was dessert 😅 This is the Mont Blanc, sweet candied creamed chestnut swirled over a brittle vanilla meringue. A festive stunner and available only until 31st Dec!
I would definitely go back again for cake and maybe to try some of the other dishes. The service was wonderful - welcoming, great with children, handled it very well when my daughter knocked her juice over 🙈
Whatever else you do, you HAVE to go in to visit the loos 😅 They have these amazing gold sinks and L'Occitane soap and a hall of mirrors! Possibly the poshest in Abu Dhabi? 😊✨
