We hit the JWSteakhouse last night. The food was great and the service was even better. We started with the wedge salad which was a different presentation than I am used to. I normally get it as a literal wedge of lettuce with the blue cheese and the rest scattered around.
This was cut into more manageable portions and I think they did this as a courtesy because they knew we were splitting it. The salad has walnuts, blue cheese, bacon (beef) and it was really good.
One of the last bites of salad I took was with a glazed walnut and a bit of blue cheese. The flavor combination was, put your fork down and savor the moment, incredible. We went for the Australian Wagyu tenderloin for two which comes with sauces and two sides. We went for the cream spinach and the lobster Mac and cheese.
The steak was huge and plenty of food for two people and it was cooked exactly how I asked. With such a think chunk of meat I think next time I'll ask for it butterflied so it spreads the medium rare temperature I like. The cream spinach lobster mac were so so good. I could easily go back and fill up on the lobster mac. The lobster flavor was in every bite and the perfect cheesy-ness.
