Jiu Jiu Restaurant. It’s about time Abu Dhabi gets a decent Chinese restaurant which isn’t Da Pai Dong prices. Nothing fancy but clean and bright.
For all the food that you see in the photos, plus a large cup of bubble milk tea and a large serving of watermelon, the food was more than enough for 3 adults at a total cost of 135aed.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Sweet and sour chicken. It was the perfect combination of sweet and sour. Gone before any of us could say “Yummy”!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Beef noodles. The soup was a bit bland for our taste buds but the texture of the noodles was delicious and the beef was tender and soft.
⭐️ Ma Por Toufu. We ordered the non-spicy version. Big mistake. Should have gone for their regular Ma Por Toufu 😭
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Spicy Prawns. I want to give this dish a 6 star grading. Am I allowed to do this? 😬
Post-meal, I didn’t feel the effects that usually come when the dishes are piled on with huge amounts of MSG which was a big plus for us.
Mental note to self: Must go back to try out the other spicier dishes. I have a feeling we have a winner here.
Side note: If you want to up your spice level, ask for the chilli oil! 🌶
