Just had an absolutely delicious lunch at the new branch of Hanoi Naturally in the WTC. I had initially headed up to the food court intending to grab a quick bite, but when I saw that this restaurant had opened I headed straight for it - much nicer than the vast majority of food court options! I'm an avid pho fan and since leaving London's Vietnamese restaurants behind have missed it greatly; Not any more 😄 I ordered the pho bo thap cam (mixed beef noodle soup) and a Hanoi iced coffee. My order arrived within 5 minutes and was delicious. The noodles weren't too soft and were in a large bowl of light but tasty broth, the 3 different types of beef were all yummy and the beef balls had some kind of tasty filling. As is traditional with pho, fresh bean sprouts, coriander and mint were served alongside, as well as wedges of lemon and lots of other seasonings were available to customise your bowl! The Hanoi iced coffee was a bit of a gamble as I don't usually sweeten my coffee- I was not disappointed. The unsweetened black coffee was presented in an individual filter cup, which could then be poured over some ice and condensed milk in a separate glass. The overall flavour was that of strong coffee ice cream... my favourite! The service was friendly and fast. It was thoughtful that the waiter could see me approaching with my buggy and jumped to hold the door open for me, rather than let me struggle 😄 All in all, I was very impressed and the only downside is that this branch doesn't seem to be on the Entertainer yet. Given that it's walking distance from my flat AND they're on deliveroo so I may be there more often than I should!
