A little delayed review but since the weekend is starting early this week and some of you folks may want to try something new:
We went to Gunaydin Gourmet Cafe & Bakery last weekend. It was the first time, on the recommendation of a friend and without much research on my side.
The result: Stunningly good Turkish food. We had the cold Mezze for starters and then shared a Iskender Kebab plate, a salad and a cheese pide for our son. Everything was really, really good, I only have one useful picture the rest of the time I had to eat. Also, a special shout out to the staff, who were very accommodating and friendly.
Fun fact that could qualify this spot as a salary saver: My wife and me were sharing the depicted cold mezze plate as a starter but in all honesty, I did not need much afterwards. That plate with freshly baked bread, some olive oil and a nice tea afterwards is completely sufficient in my view. If I remember correctly the mezze costs 28 AED only, which given the quantity and especially the quality is a real bargain.
Happy trying Biters and enjoy your weekends!
