Southern Sun hotel.
We were seated at the island seating by the water which was great for date night.
It did take 35 minutes for the bread to come, not sure why but hubby said he would of waited an hour! 3 lots of bread with 5 lots of butter - garlic, sun dried tomato, curry, olive and my favourite the turkey bacon!
Hubby had the oysters to start which he said are the best he has ever had...and he has tried alot!
Mains he had the 500gm Angus Beef cowboy steak medium/rare with steak fries and blue cheese sauce which he said everything was delicious. I had the 200gm Angus tenderloin well done....I know that's how to ruin a steak but it is what it is, pan roasted vegetables and signature steak sauce. I have to say it was cooked to perfection, still tender in the middle. Best steak I have had so far here!
We didn't have desserts but we did have an amazing bottle of Carménère Gran Reserva Santa Carolina red wine from Chile. Full bodied and tasting of berries and spices.
Overall experience - excellent value for money and can't believe it's taken us so long to visit! Thursday night is steak night for us and will definitely be back!
