Al Falah Street.
Today my breakfast dreams came true ☕️ As a family we went to Crustique for Brunch in the truest sense of the word, in the Ministry of Energy building, Falah street. I had booked via their FB page and had to call as we arrived because we couldn't see the cafe from the road so needed a little guidance. One of the waitresses, Arlene came out to greet us and lead us in to our table with our names written beautifully, they were clearly expecting us- very impressive Customer Service already! We were greeted by Dinesh who together with Arlene looked after us all morning. Immediately a basket of fresh sour dough bread, croissants and pain au chocolate were brought to us with delicious not too sweet blackcurrant jam. The children asked for boiled eggs - they arrived perfectly cooked! And we had eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, again- perfectly cooked. Fresh juices, coffees and teas were offered and accepted gratefully- all made with care and very tastey. Then the showpiece arrived - the cakes and scones. Being a total pudding nut (surely admitting my addiction is the hardest part of recovery right?!) this was the climax of the morning 😉 not only did the cakes look attractive they tasted heavenly. Lemon curd delight, coffee eclair, chocolate cake, scones with real clotted cream - I just about managed to share with children but then ordered them waffles with ice cream to divert their attention. But then this arrived and I had to politely ask THEM to share 🤣 We had a thoroughly lovely morning, relaxed and fun with friendly and attentive service. Please make the time to go for breakfast, it's a perfect start to the weekend.
