Al Maha Arjaan, Hamdan Street.
Having read some lovely reviews for this modern cafe, we decided to give it a shot for lunch. Everything in the menu looked fab and of course the new freak shakes caught my eye but I kept focus to real purpose of the visit - lunch! And if I couldn’t order a freak shake for lunch, I might as well order the mushroom and Swiss wagyu burger with caramelized onions and to be healthy, a side of sweet potato fries rather than regular. Hubby ordered the roast chicken served with salad. We were served the house foccasia bread that was served with a lovely cheese dip (cheese with crushed green olives). Bread was lovely warm and cheesy. Berry julep mocktail was nice and refreshing served in a nice steel cup topped with fresh berries. Now to the main part, the burger was lush. The wagyu beef was perfectly cooked with the right amount of smokiness from the bbq sauce. The interesting part was that they served the lettuce, tomato and pickles on the side so it was up-to you if you wanted the veggies or just the meat (who are we kidding) It was quite humongous so I couldn’t finish it although I’d like to get my hands on it now. Main course is on the entertainer and that makes it a fair deal.
