Al Maha Arjaan, Hamdan Street.
So after an awesome response by you biters about where to take my mom for a proper breakfast; we opt for *Cafe 302*. I was so nervous as my husband wanted to go to one of our usual spots 2 mins down the road. A place he usually enjoys his food and turkish coffee. I wanted something different as I always struggle to find something as Im lactose intolerant.
So we decided on *Cafe 302*. I was nervous. A place we've never tried before. Its the furtherest from where we live and it had to impress my mom too. Not to mention my ever so annoyed hubby for having to drive 40+kms for a breakfast.
When we arrived, we had to park a block away as parking is not the easiest. I lost another nail because of that. But as soon as we walked in, the huzzle and buzzle of the crazy smelly city was left behind. A whole new world opened before us.
We were greeted with big smiles. Got a lovely round table at the window. Ordered drinks.. hubby his usual Turkish coffee. (They had it so I started to feel positive) My mom a Machiato. The kids shared a Cookies & Cream milkshake. I had fresh orange juice.
My hubby ordered the Salmon Eggs Benefict. My mom the Belgium Waffles. (They shared both) The kids each had the Breakfast Croissant. And I had the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict. (The chef nice enough to adjust it a bit for me)
Husband happy. And mom too. Ample Salmon. Fresh. Pink. And the fluffiest freshest Waffles. The kids enjoyed their Croissants and I thoroughly enjoyed my Veg Eggs Benedict.
The food. The ambiance. The drinks. Even my Best Bites 15% discount. Everything was delicious and enjoyed. I was happy and therefore I had a calm and happy baby too. We can definitely recommend this little gem in the heart of the city.
P.s. Hubby even ordered a dessert for take away which he (and my mom) devoured at home.
