Three years in Raha Beach and finally our first visit to Caesar’s Restaurant in Raha Mall!
Tucked away at the side-rear of the mall; the core menu is Indian (primarily North Indian) with Chinese and Middle-Eastern contributions.
Try not to be put off by the somewhat dated decor; the service is attentive and waiters clearly listened to our requirements.
Poppadoms were brought to the table. We ordered: -Veg pakora; delicious, tempura-light. -Veg spring rolls; packed tight and full of veggies. Not greasy at all. -Paneer Mahkni; light, tomato-ey butter sauce with soft fresh cheese. -Palak Paneer; fresh, vivid green spinach complementing the soft cheese. -Mutton Seekh Kebabs. Tasty however the meat could have been ground more coarsely. And next time no chips please!!! -Boondhi Raita; complemented the dishes well, however I felt the boondhi itself was ordinary. Plain Raita next time. -Steamed rice and plain naans. -1.5L local still water.
Fresh, delicious and substantial portions - with plenty of leftovers packed to go.
We specifically requested the curries to be mild so our 4yo could enjoy and this was executed perfectly.
All in all an excellent meal, efficient service and final bill was UNDER AED200!!!
Regardless of price I highly recommend Caesars - did you know they deliver too?
I find our usual Indian delivery offerings around Raha to be expensive/inconsistent/fussy/all the above. This is decent quality, simple home-style Indian food and definitely worth a try.
