Yesterday we went for Friday brunch at Nahaam in Etihad Towers. It was delicious!
First of all when we arrived I asked that we were sitted nowhere near any children as we had just left our 3 at home😂 The tables for couples were generally placed in the darker areas of the restaurant against low dividing walls and right next to the deserts, that was a bit odd. However, they were very accommodating and we got the solitary couple table in a lovely bright area of the restaurant.
Service was flawless from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive staff and the glasses were always magically full!
Inside was a vast array of seafood and sushi with a sushi station that hosted a 4 foot long tuna. Salads were also plentiful with a superb potato salad but what blew my mind was the pork room! I went a bit mad as it had a pig on the spit as well as deli meat and delicate pork pastries and wraps with complimenting drinks. Again the staff were excellent in recommending sauces and things to try.
Outside had roast beef, bbq chicken fish, roasted veg etc as well as a cocktail bar and nice sea views. We were getting pretty stuffed but the cheese section was calling. This section was good and offered port wine with it but I had red wine instead and loved that I could choose from around 4 different types of red. I thought some grapes in the cheese section may have been quite nice but there were only sultanas and other dried fruit.
Then it was onto dessert. I had already been stuffing the chocolate treats into my face each time I walked through/around the dessert section which were melt in the mouth heavenly treats. The cheesecake was delicious as was the brulee and chocolate cake. I then had to compliment this with more sugar and delved into the waffle station where a fresh waffle was made for me and yummy ice cream filled inside it accompanied with a glass of amaretto and ice- bliss.
Throughout the brunch a live band played outside and the ladies voice was pretty amazing and just added to the nice mellow atmosphere.
Our total bill came to approx 1100 aed which included tax/ service charge (which was around 200aed) I had the champagne package which was Veuve and hubby had the beer and wine.
I thought the drinks package was by far one of the best I have encountered as it included a host of spirits, wines, cocktails, port and liquers. The variety was the most impressive I have seen in Abu Dhabi.
What topped it all off was a drinks voucher for RaysBar where we watched the sunset 62 floors up. Bravo Etihad Towers!
