We’ve been meaning to try this brunch for a while and thought we would treat ourselves as a late New Year celebration. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table, shown around the food selection, introduced to our waitress for the day, and shown the kids area. We had gone for the house beverage package which included a selection of bottled and draught hops, red/white/rose wine, house spirits and mojito and margarita cocktails. Our server ensured our glasses were always topped up. The food selection was one of the biggest I have seen at a brunch. A huge seafood selection including the most delicious oysters I’ve had. Prawns, lobster, salmon/tuna carpaccio. A great sushi selection and salad choices. Hot food selection included roast beef, lamb chops (the highlight for us!), chicken, Hungarian sausages, and meat loaf. Lots of African, Asian, and Arabian choices. A live pasta cooking station. Side dishes included Yorkshire puddings, truffle mashed potato (a must with the lamb chops), creamy spinach, and potato croquets. Desserts included ice cream, chocolate cake, a chocolate fountain, macarons, apple crumble and mini lemon meringue pie.
There was a separate kids section with burgers, hot dogs, pizza and chicken nuggets. I would have preferred more ‘healthy’ options for kids, but I feel this is lacking at almost all brunches. There never even seems to be any vegetables for kids. A great three piece band added to the fantastic atmosphere for the adults. For kids, there was face painting, games, balloon modelling and arts and crafts. Overall, fantastic food/service/atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend. 👍🏻
