This morning we had a rare opportunity to have a kid free breakfast. Breath was suggested as a pretty location with good food. It did not disappoint.
We could spot the café from a distance with it’s cute flower decor and blue store front. When you open the door the cool air and admittedly odd grass “carpet” joint by subtle french music is comforting and inviting.
The decor is soft and romantic and the faint trickle of water thanks to a water feature in the far corner makes it hard to believe you’re sitting in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
I had a latté and hubby had a water. Hubs ordered an eggs Benedict and I ordered the same with smoked salmon.
Shortly after our kind waiter took our order he brought over a little plate of bite size appetisers.
Our drinks came quickly and the food wasn’t long after.
The presentation of the food is absolutely amazing. I’m not one to mix fruit with savoury and my husband said the strawberries and pineapple did taste out of place with the rest of the food. Other than this no fault could be found.
I couldn’t finish mine as their generous salmon portion filled me up way too quickly.
The bill came to just under 160dhs for the 2 of us. A touch on the steep side but we did go for some of the more expensive items on their food menu.
They offer breakfast (including a selection of Arabic dishes) salads, sandwiches and desserts. They have a normal menu and also a visual menu (a tablet with pictures of each dish).
My next visit will see me ordering a waffle or french toast... yes, I’m definitely planning on a return visit.
