Was absolutely blown away by barfly, went there on Sunday for their sushi social and have nothing negative to say From the very initial moment of contact service was top notch, I called to make a booking and they were friendly and courteous, and when I mentioned my girlfriend was a vegetarian they marked that comment down. Once we arrived we were wowed by the setting, a beautiful angel busk, perfect music playing at the optimal volume, and the lighting was dim but enough to see everything- felt very romantic and warm and Inviting. Once we were sat down we found out they had given us a vegetarian server to help accommodate my girlfriend scope out the veggie options. The sushi social is on Sundays from 8-12, and includes unlimited access to the sushi buffet, and unlimited selected drinks. The drinks were white, red and rose wine, savanna dry cider, Stella Artois, and house spirits such as vodka gin etc. Our wine glasses were never empty, and that alone is worth the price of 165 per person! And omg the food... the buffet was laid out starting with juice shooters and salad, all very beautiful garnished with edible flowers and the like, then they had chefs manned at a grill with chicken and beef skewers (satay and teriyaki) the chefs were helpful and gave their opinions and the food was breath-taking. Next was an amazing assortment of sushi rolls and sashimi- again the chef was helpful and his recommendations were on point. He was also alerted to the fact that my girlfriend was a vegetarian, and asked what she liked and made her up several plates of veggie sushi and brought it to the table! This was amazing service we did not expect at all, and the vegetarian sushi had no tastes compromised, I am an avid meat lover and actually preferred some of her veggie rolls! They had a cooked salmon teriyaki roll hat was too die for, and I also highly recommend the shrimp tempura roll and the vegetable tempura roll! Finally at the end of the buffet was a dessert station, which we also did not expect, and my goodness what a beautiful and delicious assortment of pastries! The price as mentioned is 165 per person, well worth it for 4 hours of unlimited food and drink anywhere, especially when the quality of food is so too notch! And the icing on the cake? When we signed up for the newsletter on barfly’s website we were sent a bogo voucher, so it came to under 200 with taxes for two people! Can't praise it enough!!
