I wanted to share my review on this restaurant which i think falls under the money saving review...
It is from Al Liwan Cafeteria in Najda road opp. Shawarma time:
the food was delicious and the restaurant atmosphere was quiet cozy...it felt like being at home
Decoration 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (old yet homey and down to earth)
The menu doesn’t have a wide selection of food for lunch and dinner as this place is mostly preferred for the traditional Syrian breakfast (which I heard is very tasty but never tried it)
They have a variety of Shawarma dishes and kebbeh along with a wide selection of oven baked/cooked dishes
We ordered the following:
Batata harra (spicy potato)
arabic Shawarma platter
Shish tawook with veggies in the oven
2 soft drinks
I loved the shish tawook with veggies, it tasted so good and it felt like I am eating something cooked at home....
The batata harra was the best I ever tasted at a middle eastern restaurant😋
Of course I cannot forget the complementary fresh bread they served us😋 it is a must with these kinds of dishes 👍🏻
The price was only 150 Aed and as you see from the photos, the portions were quiet big and we had a lot of left overs to take home with us👍🏻
Overall, I highly recommend you try this restaurant if you Are looking for a casual dining with tasty food that is easy on the pocket...they also have delivery if you want to enjoy their food at home😋
