Souk at Qaryat al Beri.
Abdel Wahab was humming and shaking today. They’ve got a new menu, still with the old favorites but with some great new additions too. We ordered fattouch, cheese rolls, batatas kezbra, shanklish, The little fishy thingies that look like whitebait but aren’t and various grills. We also got some yummy felafel and one of my companions fancied birds 😆 With three desserts - halawet al jibn, ghazl al banet and mohallabia and numerous other dishes and drinks it came to around 1000aed for 8 of us. Service was good, especially from Karim, the ever vigilant shisha guy. With near perfect weather, we couldn’t have spent a nicer afternoon.
