Went to zuma for appetizers and drinks the other night and as usual they blowed me away
For drinks started with my favourite- the mizunami hurricane 😍 the perfect refreshing blend of dark and light rum, passion fruit, and a delicious homemade spicy ginger beer. Garnished with mint and dried lime it is reminiscent of a blend between a passion fruit mojito and a Moscow mule
The ambiance in zuma is always impressive, lots of oak wood and leather with warm lighting, even our seats in the lounge were on a butter-soft leather couch. It is definitely a must visit for showing guests Abu Dhabi luxury dining or drinks
The food was to die for- the tofu and avocado salad was plated beautifully with a delicate citrus dressing, and the spices on the coating of the tofu made it hard to share with others as I wanted to gobble it all up! The chili garlic edamame is seasoned to perfection you're left licking your lips and fingers, plus it's most bang for your buck as it is the most time consuming to eat 😂 Also pictured is the vegetable tempura, such a delicate light batter, one of the best I've ever had. Also ordered at the table was a roasted whole potato with ponzu butter, very interesting it is a potato they steam first then grill, and come and mix it at the table with the butter and fresh lime to make it into a rustic mashed potato- the flavours were divine and definitely a unique menu item. My parents also ordered chicken skewers which were small but delectable. The prices are a little on the higher side but you are definitely getting what you are paying for. Note that you almost always need to make a reservation if you want to go.
