Four Seasons, Al Maryah Island.
Get out your best date night outfits and head to COYA. A stunningly beautiful restaurant, with water views to make anyone happy. Serving Peruvian food, they opened in February of this year and I predict they have a long and vibrant stay here in the capital. As we arrived, looking very dapper I might add, we were led to an elevator that was a work of art in its self. The wait staff made us feel like we were long time customers as they shared the history behind Peruvian food. Very knowledgeable. Our table was next to a window to take advantage of the wonderful view. Oh yeah, the food......COYA is very proud of their ceviche. If you are not a fan, try it and I promise you will be! We had the sea bream with chilies and red snapper with an unbelievable truffle sauce. I ordered the roasted octopus. Perfect! We also had the tres maize corn salad. It was fresh and tangy and a complexity of flavors that made it the perfect accompaniment to the Casuela De Langosta. Lobster nestled in a perfect rissoto and finished with a squeeze of charred lime. Dessert? Why not? Praline passion fruit mousse and corn ice cream with popcorn. So.....girls, put on some lipstick, guys....ditch the t-shirt and visit COYA. A special treat!
