Four Seasons, Al Maryah Island.
Rebecca and I had a lovely experience last night at Coya, Abu Dhabi. We had both been keen to try this place and so when we were invited to try their iftar menu, we jumped at the chance!
Starting with a choice of 3 soups - pumpkin, cold corn soup or traditional Peruvian spicy bean soup, we all scooped up our dishes. The soups were incredibly smooth and tasty. To follow, we received a selection of different plates to share - guacamole (arguably best in the city) served with the perfect chips for dipping, edamame, corn salad, maki rolls and mini beetroot and potato rolls with a luscious, creamy dollop of goats cheese on top. Yum. This course also came with a selection of lamb, chicken or Portobello mushroom skewers. Deliciousness to the max.
We were already running out of space by the time our mains came but the portions were the perfect size considering we'd indulged in all the starters. I had the salmon - flavourful and cooked exactly how I asked for it (medium). Though usually choosing chicken, Rebecca opted for the red meat choice and thought it was lovely.
Dessert was a camel milk ice cream and date cake. Creamy and sweet - perfect to finish off the meal. 😍
Massive thank you to the team for organising such a great meal and to Chef Earl Roland C. Puse for sitting with us and discussing the food and the restaurant concepts. I look forward to coming back soon and to trying some of their cocktails - they sound amazing! 🍹
