WATCHING THE WALLET
Yadoos House for mamas home-made Emirati food. It’s a must try – even just to say you did it!
Kuzbara, Marriott Downtown. This buffet is the stuff of legends, and with a 20% BB discount on top of the AED89, it’s a steal!
Beit el Khetyar is your go-to for the best shawarma in the land! If your guests want to try Arabic street food, BAK is a must
BesBas has Emirati food in its natural state. You can sit on the floor to eat and there are wait staff who speak English to help you. Dive in and try some new things!
Lebanese Flower: An AD staple for Lebanese Food. Go, eat in, have shawarma and fatoosh. Worth it!
Moti Mahal: Another AD institution, Moti Mahal serves up mouth-watering North Indian food. They’re vary the spice level but if vindaloo is your thing, this is your man!
Hickories, Yas Links: The very place for some reasonably priced food and sundowners. Sit outside and enjoy the sweeping views over Yas. Tranquil and loads of room for kids to run.
Café 302: Waffles, pancakes, healthy options and cute décor: Café 302 has it all!
Café Blanc at Eastern Mangroves is a deliciously relaxed place to eat outdoors. It has some of the best Arabic food around (though with enough dishes to placate a difficult dad!) and lovely views over the mangroves.
The One Bistro is a glorious café in a high end furniture store. It’s luxuriously designed, the menu has something for everyone and the terraces are lovely when it’s cool.
LÁrte at Manarat al Saadiyat is Italian through and through. Its outdoor area is peaceful and there’s room for children to run a bit.
Lexx Bar, Grand Hyatt is here because it has some really reasonably priced wine. This is the place to impress the parents with the 5* luxury but not having to spend a fortune doing it!
Abdel Wahab is our go-to for views and not-too-expensive food. Choose from hummous, mixed grills and seafood options as well as the delectable Arabic desserts. It’s even better when you can sit outside but the views to the Grand Mosque are always superb.
Sacci at The Westin is a great place for Italian food. It’s among the best in Abu Dhabi but prices are reasonable in a 5* setting.
Eat Greek in The Galleria is great for lunch or dinner. It’s licensed and the food is divine!

Breakfast: Tean at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. Astonishingly good views with food to match. Weekends only.
Tasha’s Al Bateen. An AD favourite. It’s got great food and nice views and really is somewhere worth taking people.
Business lunches are the way forward.
Zuma: Exotic Japanese inspired food at a knock-down, drag-out lunchtime price.
Coya: Superb views over the water and Latin food to die for.
Beach House, Park Hyatt: Right on the sand, you’ll enjoy the good range of dishes – something to please even the fussiest sister-in-law!
Li Beirut, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers. Chef Johny brings the Lebanese noise and the terrace brings the views. A superb range of Arabic food you didn’t know you needed in your life.
Sontaya, St Regis Saadiyat. Asian inspired, somewhat romantic, Sontaya has outstanding food and service.
Mare Mare, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort. The sweeping views match the superb coastal Italian fare here. This will be a meal to remember!
BUTCHER & STILL
Impress your guests with drinks at one of the most stylish restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Overlooking downtown, the view is best at sunset. Make sure to take advantage of their happy hour drink specials.
Vakava has one of the most unique terraces in the city. Perched out on the water, this beautiful rooftop terrace is a great spot to sip the night away. Try their famous Pisco Sour.
THE LOUNGE AT JUMEIRAH AT SAADIYAT ISLAND
Jumeriah at Saadiyat Island is the closest hotel to the shore on all of Saadiyat, guaranteeing ocean views from their rooftop lounge. Watch the sun go down over a glass of bubbles or one of their fabulous cocktails.
NASMA BEACH BAR
Be swept away to a little piece of tropical paradise at Nasma. Your guests will want their picture taken on the giant swing chairs next to the bar, coconut cocktail in hand! Their mojitos are the best in the city.
18 DEGREES AT ANDAZ
Beware of heights and leaning buildings! Wow your guests by grabbing a sundowner on the 18th floor terrace of this impressive building. Their cocktails are unique with interesting flavor pairings.
Dig your feet into the white sand at Buddha-Bar Beach. Their drinks include intricate garnishes and over the top presentation making it a memorable guest experience.
Bring your visitors for a late afternoon stroll along the Corniche and stop at Catch to watch the sunset over the Arabian Gulf. The bar team make impressive cocktails and mocktails.
This open-air lounge is very trendy and perfect for cooler weather. Located poolside at the Four Seasons, they are serving up great drinks with views to match.
